OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library is to support the Gulf Breeze Library through volunteerism and book sale fundraising.

FUNDRAISING

In addition to members’ dues and donations, the Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library run an ongoing book sale in our used bookstore located in the library. In 2023, The book sales raised over $6,000!

YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND DONATIONS AT WORK

Here are just some examples of the ways we put your membership dues, donations, and book sales to work for the library:

*Summer reading program presenters, books, prizes, and bookmarks

*Youth materials

*Encyclopedias

*Magazine and newspaper subscriptions

*Manga collection displays

*Televisions and bookshelves

*DVDs, audio books, and large print books

*Maker Space, STEAM and Senior Activity Supplies

VOLUNTEERISM

Our volunteers work in the book store and organize book donations. They also help with the Friends’ events such as the semi annual book sales and the annual meeting. The all-volunteer board manages the Friends activities and bookstore, along with safeguarding the effective use and investment of our financial resources. If you are interested in volunteering for the Friends, let one of the librarians know, and they will pass your interest along to one of the board members.
